One of the big issues with searching for an online business is getting caught up with a scam. There are so many excellent resources but it is important not to get scammed

Questions To Ask Yourself

Before embarking on your online journey there are some questions you need to ask yourself to make sure the business you are planning Questionsis going to be the best one for you. I suggest you write down the answers to these questions as it will make everything much clearer in the long run

    • What do you want or need to get out of the business

Think about whether you want more money, more time with your family, work from home, be able to work whilst traveling etc. Be very clear with what you really need out of your business. After careful consideration you may even decide that an online business isn’t something you really want to do.

    • What do you love to do?

If you’ve decided that having an online business will be the answer to your problems the next question is what type of business do you want to do. Consider you likes and dislikes. If you love to write then maybe becoming a freelance writer or blogger would suit but if writing fills you with dread then, obviously, a blogger wouldn’t be the best bet. Make a list of all the things you love to do

    • What are you good at doing?

Having your own business comes with many facets and you won’t, honestly, be good at all of them. Listing what you know you are good at will give you an idea of where you may need some help with your business. For example, if you are rubbish at maths then maybe you’ll need to consider an accountant. If, like me, you can’t draw a stick man then looking for other artistic resources or people may help with the branding of your business.

    • Would you be happy to learn a new skill?

Just because you are unable to do something doesn’t mean you can’t learn to do it. Now list all those things you’d like to learn. It doesn’t have to be business based but it would probably help to begin with. If you think you’d enjoy balancing the books then take a course. There are plenty of online and offline available.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Answering these four questions will give you an overview of your strengths and weaknesses.

We can’t all be good everything. If you can start your business knowing that eventually you’ll need some help where you are lacking in skill, knowledge or enthusiasm it will make the decision much easier when the time comes.

Wow great suggestions on the different business opportunities women can try out.

I would argue these opportunities aren’t only for women but for men too. I’ve personally tried a few of them you suggested and really liked them.

Do you find one of them bette than the other, or which one do you like the most?

Ah Michael, you are very right in saying these opportunities would suit men as well as women and I thank you for bring up this point.

As to which one I like the most I would have to say ‘affiliate marketing’.  I’m rather biased towards this one and others may have different opinions.  Affiliate marketing suits me very well and my membership at Wealthy Affiliate has made the experience so much better

Thank you so much for coming up with brilliant tips on starting a business online.
I love the idea of starting a business around something I enjoy doing and I am good at.
Also, the idea of doing a strength and weakness analysis. It helps me polish up my skills where I need help most.
I have signed up for some of the programmes you have mentioned like Upwork and eBay.
I have used eBay to sell my stuff I wasn’t using anymore. And managed to earn some cash that I used to clear my bills. Once again, many thanks.

      Hi Dominik

Fiverr is great isn’t it?  You have to be a bit careful about who you buy from but I’ve managed to find some good quality outsourcing from the platform.  If nothing else, it’s quite an entertainment looking at the different gigs.

      Thanks for visiting.
